Sumas 4-Plex | Flood Damage Rebuild

Services Provided

This project consisted of a full rebuild of a 4-plex in Sumas that was affected by the Nooksak river flooding in November 21.

Assessed damage from flooding
Removed drywall with water damage
Removed debris and cleaned complex
Installed new insulation, drywall, and flooring
Primed and painted interior and exterior
Installed new cabinetry, appliances, and fixtures

Pre-Construction

Here is a glimpse of the complex before any construction. As you can see, it had pretty extensive damage from the flooding.

Clean Up

The first step was cleaning up the debris so we know what we’re working with for this rebuild. Almost everything in this complex was ruined and needed to be replaced.

Crawl Space Clean Up

In addition to cleaning up the interior of the complex, we needed to clean up the crawl space. There was a lot of debris left over from the flooding.

Subfloor Installation

Installation of the subfloor was one of the first tasks for this rebuild. The subfloor is an essential component of a building’s structure and serves as the foundation for the entire flooring system.

Progress Photos

These photos show a look at the project mid-construction including installing new flooring and drywall, priming the walls, and installing new cabinets.

Finished Interior Photos

This place really came together once we painted the walls this subtle shade of gray, which also went nicely with the white cabinetry and chrome appliances.

Exterior Paint

The exterior of the place got a nice facelift after painting it a muted shade of blue. We’re very with happy with how this project turned out!
